The drive out to the air base was a bit desolate. Once out of the city, there's not much to see.

This was home to over 1,000 troops for quite awhile. Now we contractors get to pull the equipment out.







A couple of 4,000 sq ft dome shelters and some of the equipment we've pulled out.





We had to pull up the metal matting that was put in under the generators of their power station. Those plates weigh a good 100+ lbs apiece. A lot of fun in 100+ heat.


Of course the troops had plenty of bunkers around the camp - just in case.



And on the way back - a classic bit of Arabic driving...
